Uganda senior National Football team, the Uganda Cranes, were in action on Friday, playing their first test serie in the ongoing November International break.
The East African giants were 2-1 winners over Chad in Paul Put’s maiden game in charge since extending his contract as Cranes head coach.
The victory at Stade Municipal de Berrechid was highlighted by the new blood of Uche Mubiru (20) and returning Melyn Lorenzen (45), the duo grabbing the goals for Uganda.
Chad who squandered one of their opportunities from the spot in the second stanza, earned the consolation goal through Hauroun Tchaouna.
Further more from the contest, Ghanaian-born midfielder Baba Alhassan summoned for the first time ever, made his debut since switching allegiance.
Up next for Uganda, will be a stern test against the number one ranked nation on continent, Morocco who pipped Mozambique 1-0 on the same day in Tangier.
The confrontation with the 2025 AFCON hosts is scheduled to take place next week on Tuesday 18th November, 2025 at Tangier Grand Stadium.
