We actually have the quality to win every match – Osimhen

Victor Osimhen believes Galatasaray possess the quality to win all of their remaining league matches this season.

The Istanbul-based club are locked in a tight battle for the Turkish Super Lig title with their city rivals, Fenerbahce.

Following a recent 2-0 victory over third-placed Samsunspor on Friday night, where Osimhen himself scored alongside Yunus Akgun, Galatasaray have established a six-point lead at the summit of the table.

Fenerbahce are scheduled to play Sivasspor on Sunday.

The Nigerian international expressed his confidence in Galatasaray’s ability to secure a third consecutive league title.

“The focus is on us right now. We have a responsibility as a team. We want to win. We actually have the quality to win every match. It is not easy, we will face very important opponents,” Osimhen told the club’s official website.

He further emphasized the team’s need for unwavering commitment.

“We need to be prepared to overcome these opponents and lift this cup at the end of the season, we just need to fight. We need to give everything when we step on the field. I think we will have the advantage at the end of the season, but as I said, it will not be easy.”

As of Saturday, April 12, 2025, Galatasaray sit atop the Turkish Super Lig table. Their six-point lead over Fenerbahce puts them in a strong position, but with several crucial fixtures still to play, Osimhen’s call for focus and determination underscores the intensity of the title race.
