Matchday Uganda Premier League
Police FC vs Vipers SC -4pm
Kavumba Recreation Ground
The venoms last dropped points points on the road in September, goalless draw with debutants lugazi FC in Najjembe.
Vipers SC take their title chase to Kavumba Recreation Grounds where they take on the Cops of Police FC on Thursday.
The venoms have won seven consecutive games in the Startimes Uganda Premier League, scoring 13 goals and conceding none in the process.
Dominant in this fixture, Vipers visit a playground that has proved to be a stumbling block for the visitors.
“Its going to be another tricky tie against Police FC. We didn’t have the easiest of games against Mbarara City FC it was a tricky one, remember we had played them after like a week then played them again in the League.” explained Coach Fred Muhumuza.
Police FC have only lost one game in Kavumba, drawing six and winning two, which makes it a trick tie on those grounds.
The most recent meeting between the two sides in the league, ended 2-1 in favor of Vipers. Allan okello scored a brace while Brian Obedi consolation halved the deficit.
A victory for Vipers in Kavumba could see the Kitende-based entity open a six-point gap at the top ahead of runners-up, NEC FC who play Wakiso Giants the following day.
