The Prosperity Girls made a statement with a dominant 5-1 win over debutants Benue Queens in Lafia, showcasing their attacking prowess.

The match saw Bayelsa Queens in top form, with Chinwe Akabike, Vera Samuel, Rita Uduakabong, and Ambless Ogbonnaya (who scored twice) all getting on the scoresheet.

The forward emphasized that her main goal is to help Bayelsa Queens secure the coveted NWFL title.

“I feel great. Like I said last time, my contribution is to help the team win games and I’m grateful to God I was able to do so in our previous away match,” Vera Samuel said.

“My achievement this season is to lift the CAF trophy with Bayelsa Queens.”

Samuel also spoke about how her previous experience with Edo Queens in the CAF Women’s Champions League has helped her grow as a player.

She highlighted how that exposure prepared her tactically, which she believes has helped elevate her game with Bayelsa Queens.

“Participating in the CAF with Edo Queens prepared me tactically,” she added.
