URA FC defeated Mbale Heroes 3-2 in the final game of matchday 21 in the Startimes Uganda Premier League on Saturday evening.
Forward Ivan Ahimbisibwe brace and Norman Namanya strike powered the tax collectors past the stubborn newbies at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
The goals for Mbale Heroes were scored by Robert Eseru, and Jesse Kajuba, all coming in the final stanza under the lights in the capital.
The home team opened the score in the 25th minute, Ivan Ahimbisibwe heading home to register his 10th goal of the campaign at URA.
Mbale Heroes found the leveler just one minute after restart, Robert Eseru with a bullet header, connecting from Adima Hillary cross.
The parity lasted only two minutes as URA restored their lead through Norman Namanya before Ahimbisibwe completing his brace from the spot in the 57th minute.
The visitors piling more pressure, Jesse Kajuba tapped home from close range, reducing the deficit with about seven minutes remaining on the clock.
The victory saw Alex Isabirye’s troops bounce back to winning ways having lost their previous enconter against Bul FC at FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.
In the early kick-offs, Lwanga and SC Villa ended Vipers SC 19-match unbeaten streak in a 1-0 triumph while BuL FC were held to a goalless draw by Mbarara City FC in Kakyeka.
