The Ugandan referee is among the officials selected on the African continent to participate in the upcoming course.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) is set to arrange a CAF Young Talent Referees Course in the land of 2023 AFCON hosts, Ivory Coast.
Kasalirwe Lucky Razake is the only person from Uganda that was summoned for the referees program in Abidjan from 3rd- 8th March, 2025.
The five-day gathering will be under the tutelage of the CAF Refereeing Department, who will guide them in expanding their knowledge of the game.
The invitation of the young match officials forms part of the CAF Refereeing Department’s broader strategy of developing world class referees across Africa that are being developed to officiate at the highest level of the game both on the continent as well as globally.
The scheme will ensure that aspiring referees – both boys and girls are exposed to the demands of international competitions, while also helping them improve their refereeing capabilities from a young age.
