Uganda reveal provisional squad for 2025 U-17 AFCON tournament

Uganda U-17 head coach, Brian Ssenyondo, has summoned a provisional squad to start preparations ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) final tournament.

A total of 37 players make up the roster, with majority of the members coming from the team that reached success at zonal Qualifiers.

The former Kitara manager also decided to include stars competing in the FUFA Junior League and stand out performers from school competitions.

The cohort is expected to enter camp on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the FUFA Technical Center in Njeru.

Uganda were pooled in group A that houses hosts Morocco, Zambia, and Tanzania at the expanded tournament scheduled between 30 March-19 April, 2025.

The continental youth competition serves as a qualifier for the 10 African nations that will feature at this year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar.
