Tobi Amusan to miss Stockholm Diamond League meet

World record-holder in the women’s 100m hurdles, Tobi Amusan, will miss the seventh leg of the 2025 Diamond League scheduled to take place in Stockholm.

The 28-year-old Nigerian sprint hurdler, who recently secured a commanding win at the fourth leg of the series in Rabat, Morocco, is notably absent from the list of confirmed participants for the Stockholm event.

Also missing in action will be Chukwuebuka Enekwechi, Nigeria’s leading shot putter, due to the men’s shot put event being excluded from the Stockholm lineup.

The Stockholm Olympic Stadium is set to welcome a star-studded cast of international athletes as they continue building momentum ahead of the 2025 World Athletics Championships in Tokyo, scheduled for September.

While Amusan’s absence is a blow for Nigerian fans, she is expected to return to the circuit in subsequent meets as she ramps up preparations for a potential title challenge in Tokyo.
