Uganda U-17 women’s national team, Teen Cranes, touched down in Kenya’s capital, Nairobi on Thursday afternoon.
Sheryl Botes coached side are in Kenya for the second leg of the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Qualifiers, play-offs to the final tournament in Morocco.
The first meeting held here in Kampala at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo ended 2-0 in favor of Kenya, courtesy of goals from debutant Nasipwondi Edinah and Midfielder Joan Ogola.
A travelling contingent of 20 players, Uganda are on a mission to overturn the deficit against a star-studded opponent that boasts of experience from World Cup finals.
The decesive fixture will take place this Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Nyayo National Stadium. The winner on aggregate progresses to the final qualifying round where she meets either Cameroon or Ethiopia.
