Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has been accused of punching a journalist during a late-night incident in Istanbul, Turkey. Osimhen is currently on loan at Galatasaray from Napoli.

The alleged incident occurred as Osimhen was leaving an entertainment venue with friends.

According to Posta Newspaper, a group of reporters, including journalist Tolga Bozduman, attempted to take photos of the Nigerian international, which led to a confrontation.

Bozduman claims, “I filmed Osimhen at the door with three of my colleagues. When the flashes went off, all hell broke loose. He ran towards me, screaming. He tried to take my camera away from me, but I didn’t let him.

“The punch he threw hit me in the head. My right side still hurts. He then started swearing. Then he offered, ‘Destroy the footage, I’ll give you money.’ When I refused, he threatened me by saying, ‘I’ll destroy you.’”

As of now, neither Osimhen nor Galatasaray has officially responded to these allegations.

Despite this off-field incident, Osimhen has been performing well on the pitch for Galatasaray. The 26-year-old has scored 15 goals and provided six assists in 19 appearances across all competitions.
