Super Eagles players missing as Mohamed Salah leads 2026 World Cup Qualifying scoring chart

Egyptian superstar Mohamed Salah has taken the top spot in the 2026 World Cup qualifying series in Africa, scoring five goals to lead the continent’s top scorers. 

Salah’s impressive form has propelled Egypt to the top of Group A with 10 points after four fixtures, four points clear of second-placed Guinea-Bissau.

Salah shares the top scorer spot with Mahmoud Trezeguet, who also boasts five goals. 

Ghana’s Jordan Ayew trails closely behind with four goals, helping the Black Stars secure second place in Group I with 9 points.

A host of African stars are tied on three goals, including Ayoub El Kaabi (Morocco), Denis Bouanga (Gabon), Kamory Doumbia (Mali), Louis Mafouta (Central African Republic), Myziane Maolida (Comoros), Patson Daka (Zambia), Seko Fofana (Ivory Coast), and Sudi Abdallah (Burundi).

As the qualifying series heats up, African football fans will be keeping a close eye on these top scorers, eagerly anticipating their next moves on the pitch.
