Super Eagles announce dates for World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Zimbabwe

The Super Eagles have officially announced the dates for their next two crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying matches.  

The three-time African champions will travel to Kigali, Rwanda on Friday, March 21st, to face the Amavubi. They will then return home to face Zimbabwe at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo on Tuesday, March 25th.

These matches are crucial for the Super Eagles, who currently occupy fifth position in Group C with only three points from four games. Rwanda leads the group, while South Africa and Benin Republic also have seven points.

Eric Chelle, the new Super Eagles head coach, will be looking to guide the team to victory in these crucial encounters and revive their World Cup qualification hopes. The 2026 World Cup will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
