The blues made return to winning ways on match day 20 of the Startimes Uganda Premier League.
SC Villa dispatched Soltilo Bright Stars FC 3-1 at Kavumba Recreation Grounds on Friday to secure their first win on the road this season.
Aslam Semakula, Charles Lwanga and Patrick Kakande were on target for the visitors while Nelson Ssenkatuka netted Bright Stars’ only goal.
Returning Semakula broke the deadlock in the 8th minute, connecting from a corner kick to put the Jogoos ahead.
SC Villa increased the numerical advantage to 2-0, 12 minutes later, through forward Charles Lwanga before Ssenkatuka pulled one for the visitors in the 40th minute.
Patrick Kakande rounded off the scoring on return, with about 22 minutes remaining on the clock to reach the 90 mark.
SC Villa, climbed one spot on the log to 9th place as Bright Stars stayed 15th in the red zone, 11 points below safety.
Elsewhere, Bul FC continued their fine form since the start of the second term after a 2-1 hard fought victory over tax collectors of URA FC.
A goal in either half for BuL from Martin Aprem and Lawrence Tezikya at the refurbished FUFA Technical Center. Laban Tibita scored the consolation goal for the visitors in Njeru.
