After snub of the Nigeria Football Premier League (NPFL), the West African nation managed to secure a representative in the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) club continental Ranking.
The roster put out displayed the best 30 footballing clubs on the African continent.
Rivers United Football Club were number 26 on the chart and the only entity from the Nigerian Premiership.
The news was well received by Rivers United who went ahead to share the milestone to its fans on the official club socials.

Looking into the top ten, the list is dominated by clubs from North Africa.
The first three positions are occupied by teams from Egypt that is Al Ahly which is ranked number 1 in Africa, followed by CAF Confederation Cup holder Zamalek and Pyramids FC number 3.
