The Nasarawa Amazons, nicknamed the “Solid Babes,” had established a commanding lead through a quick brace from Olushola Shobowale, putting them 2-0 up and seemingly in control of the final.

However, Rivers Angels, under the guidance of coach Tosan Blankson, mounted a stunning comeback.

In the decisive shootout, Rivers Angels held their nerve, converting four spot-kicks to Nasarawa’s two, sealing their hard-fought victory.
