RBK urges Youths to be disciplined and resilience as Chairman’s Cup kicks off

The Chairman of Lekki LCDA, Engr. Rasaki Bamidele Kasali has urged the youths to be disciplined in all their activities. 

RBK made the appealed while delivering an inspiring speech at the opening ceremony of the RBK Chairman’s Cup 2025.

The tournament which promises to be an exciting platform for showcasing talent, promoting healthy competition, and fostering sportsmanship.

Chairman Kasali expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “It is with great pleasure and a deep sense of pride that I welcome you all to the opening match of the RBK Chairman’s Cup 2025.”

He highlighted the importance of football, saying, “Football is more than just a game, it unites communities, inspires young talents, and fosters discipline and resilience.”

Kasali praised the tournament’s history of nurturing raw talent, stating, “The RBK Chairman’s Cup has always been about nurturing raw talent, promoting healthy competition, and providing a stage for future champions to shine.”

He expressed gratitude to officials and volunteers, saying, “I want to express my sincere appreciation to all officials, and volunteers who have worked tirelessly to make this event possible.”

The Chairman encouraged players to give their best on the field, saying, “To the players, I encourage you to give your best on the field. Play with integrity, respect your opponents, and most importantly, enjoy the game.”

He reminded players that victory is not just about winning, stating, “Remember, victory is not just in winning but in the lessons learned, friendships made, and the memories created along the way.”

Meanwhile, the opening game witnessed dramatic moments as Orinyanrin defeated Otolu 4-2 on penalty shootout after a goalless draw to advance to the next round.
