The RBK Chairman’s Cup 2025 is gearing up to be an exciting and disciplined tournament, fostering unity and sportsmanship within the football community.
The draws and seminars for the tournament took place recently, with all 16 teams represented by their coaches.
Notable attendees at the event included Mr. Olalekan Adekoya, Chairman of the Epe Division Football Association; Mr. Jamiu Saheed, FA & Coaching Council; Mr. Kabiru Muyideen, Stadium Manager; and Mr. Ajagbe Saheed, Chairman of the Epe Football Referee Society.
The Executive Chairman of RBK was ably represented by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Fatai Taiwo, who reaffirmed the administration’s support for grassroots sports development.
The Supervisor for Sports, Hon. Oseni Segun Kazeem, spoke passionately about the upcoming tournament, urging coaches and players to maintain peace and harmony throughout the competition.
To ensure transparency in the football process, all coaches participated in a raffle-style number-picking process for fair team selection.
Mr. Olalekan Adekoya emphasized the importance of discipline in the game, warning against the use of vulgar language and stressing that all coaches must be affiliated with the council and adhere strictly to football rules and regulations.
Additionally, Mr. Ajagbe Saheed instructed that team captains must wear an armband for easy identification, teams should have designated team guards for orderliness, and strict adherence to time-consciousness is expected from all participating teams.
