Paul Put summons 26 for Cranes 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers

The Belgian tactician revealed his roster on Monday ahead of the upcoming global play-offs scheduled to unfold later this month.

In a press conference held at FUFA headquarters, Uganda Cranes head coach Paul announced a 26-member squad for the March 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.

Vipers SC play-maker Allan Okello headlines the 9 representatives from the local division, Startimes Uganda Premier League.

Forward Jude Semugabi, Villa Skipper Ronald Ssekiganda retain the spots as midfield duo of Enock Ssebaggala (NEC) and Karim Watambala (Vipers) make the cut.

The overseas bracket is highlighted by the return of striker Muhammad Shaban who recently secured a move to Al Anwar from Al Hilal SC in Libya.

Wigan Athletic defender Toby Sibbick and Bevis Mugabi are the other notable returnees summoned for this month’s double assignment.

The cohort is expected to start preparations before they confront Mozambique and Syli National of Guinea on March 20, and March 25 respectively.
