The Pearl of Africa are back in action this month with two matches in the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
Uganda Cranes head coach, Joseph Paul Put is set to name his squad for the upcoming global play-offs to the final tournament in Mexico, Canada, and USA.
The Belgian will unveil the roster on Monday, March 10, 2025 in a press conference to be held at the FUFA headquarters, Mengo.
Uganda confront Mozambique and Guinea in the fifth and six round of the qualifying for the FIFA World Cup respectively.
The curtain-raiser will be the fixture against the Mambas at Cairo International Stadium on 20 March and conclude with Guinea five days later in Kampala.
Housed in group G, Uganda are 5th on the standings, six points level with Botswana, and Guinea whilst Algeria lead with 9 points.
The top teams in each group will qualify directly. The four best runners-up will compete in a mini-tournament, the winner of which will play in the FIFA Intercontinental Play-Offs.
