The Benue State Football Association (BSFA) has officially welcomed the Benue Queens Football Club as one of its affiliates.
The induction took place during the BSFA’s Annual General Meeting for 2025, held at Eyah Hotels and Suites in Makurdi.
Chairman of the BSFA, Chief Dr. Paul Edeh Esq. FCPA, introduced the club to the congress, highlighting the need for its establishment.
The representative of the club, Bashiru Liadi, who also serves as the team’s lead coach, provided an overview of the club’s journey so far, including the challenges it has faced.
Members of the congress pledged their support for the team, vowing to ensure the Benue Queens achieve success in their future outings.
The BSFA, in collaboration with the state government, has committed to providing the necessary administrative assistance to facilitate the club’s growth.
The induction of the Benue Queens Football Club marks a milestone for women’s football in Benue State. With the support of the BSFA and the state government, the team is poised to make a positive impact in the world of football.
Benue Queens are yet to record a victory after failing to win all their matches in the Nigeria Women Football league so far.
