The 2024/25 NWFL Premiership delivered yet another round of thrilling encounters, with Edo Queens, Remo Stars Ladies, and Naija Ratels maintaining their unbeaten runs on Wednesday, February 12, 2025.
Elsewhere, FC Robo Queens and Ekiti Queens secured vital home wins, while Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens settled for a share of the spoils in their highly anticipated South-South derby in Port Harcourt.
At the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo Queens asserted their dominance with a two-nil win over Nasarawa Amazons.
Mary Mamudu broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute, and just two minutes later, Goodness Osigwe doubled the advantage, ensuring the champions remained firmly in command at the top of the standings.

Continuing their fine form at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne, Remo Stars Ladies secured a two-nil victory against Abia Angels. Bolaji Olamide put her side ahead from the penalty spot in the 33rd minute, before rounding off the scoring with her second goal of the match in the 85th minute. The newly promoted side remains a serious contender in their debut season.
In Abuja, Naija Ratels extended their unbeaten start to the season with a hard-fought one-all draw against Delta Queens. The Bwari Township Stadium witnessed an intense battle, as Bunmi Oladeji gave the hosts an early lead in the seventh minute, only for Ifobere Destiny to restore parity just two minutes later. Both teams had their chances, but neither could break the deadlock.
At the Onikan Stadium, FC Robo Queens bounced back from their previous defeat with a 2-1 victory over Ibom Angels in Lagos. Mariam Yahaya opened the scoring in the 68th minute before an own goal by Godsgift Afigbediotor in the 78th minute extended their lead. Though Ugobest Osuji pulled one back for Ibom Angels in the 84h minute, it wasn’t enough to prevent the hosts from securing all three points.
Over in Ado Ekiti, the Oluyemi Kayode Stadium played host to a commanding performance from Ekiti Queens, who claimed a two-nil win over struggling Confluence Queens. Rashidat Salau broke the deadlock in the 55th minute, while Patience Yaro put the game beyond doubt in the 90th minute.
Also, a tense encounter at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt saw Rivers Angels and Bayelsa Queens play out a one-all draw. Peace Effiong gave the hosts an early advantage in the tenth minute, but Zainab Olapade struck back in the 27th minute, ensuring both teams walked away with a point in the tightly contest.
Also Heartland Queens and Dannaz Ladies could not be separated as their match at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri ended in a goalless draw. Despite a few close calls, neither side managed to find a breakthrough.
An early blitz at the Pantami Stadium in Gombe saw Adamawa Queens dispatch Benue Queens with a 2-0 victory. Loveth Boiygyande struck in the seventh minute, before Mary Nnenna Ossai followed up a minute later, sealing all three points for the home side.
With Edo Queens, Remo Stars Ladies, and Naija Ratels still unbeaten, the race for the top remains highly competitive. FC Robo Queens and Ekiti Queens have made strong statements while struggling teams will be eager to turn things around in the coming fixtures.
