Remo Stars extended their lead at the top of the table with a 2-1 win over Kano Pillars at their Ikenne base. The Sky Blue Stars opened the scoring early, with Alimi Sikiru netting in the 5th minute of the match. Abubakar doubled the lead just before halftime, scoring in the 40th minute to give the hosts a comfortable advantage.
Kano Pillars managed to pull one back before the break, reducing the deficit to 2-1, but despite a spirited second-half effort, they couldn’t find an equalizer. Remo Stars held on to secure the three points, maintaining their impressive eight-point gap at the top of the table.
Shooting Stars Edge Bendel Insurance:
Meanwhile, Shooting Stars also secured a crucial win at home, defeating Bendel Insurance 1-0. The game was closely contested, and the Oluyole Warriors managed to grab all three points thanks to Godwin Odibo’s 81st-minute strike. The goal was enough to seal the victory for Shooting Stars, who have shown resilience throughout the season.
