Katsina United secured a convincing 5-1 victory over Abia Warriors at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium in Katsina. The home side dominated the match, scoring five unanswered goals in the second half to seal the win.
Mubarak Said opened the scoring in the 2nd minute, followed by Bello Lukman’s strike three minutes later. Abia Warriors pulled one back through Desouza, but Katsina United’s momentum proved unstoppable.
In the second half, Bello Lukman scored a brace, while Taofeek Ahmed and Nura added to the tally. The win propelled Katsina United to 11th position on the log with 44 points, moving them away from the relegation zone.
The Chanji Boys will look to continue their winning form against Sunshine Stars of Akure in their next match.
