Remo Stars coach Daniel Ogunmodede has revealed how his team defeated Akwa United during matchday 20 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
Remo Stars came from behind to score two second-half goals, to secure their third away victory of the season.
Speaking after the match, the former Super Eagles assistant coach disclosed that the game is a must-win for his team.

He said, “We’re up against a tough opponent with a new coach, a fresh mentality, and a roster of new players eager to prove themselves as they fight relegation. Akwa United is a premier club in the country.
“This match is crucial for us, especially after one of our contestants lost at home yesterday. It’s important for securing three significant points, and we aim to build on this.
He continued, “I find it difficult to rely on my past since it’s always behind me. My team is upholding the status and culture we’ve built over the years. Now, we must confront reality and focus on what matters, ensuring we can maintain our position until the end of the season to stay at the top of the table.”.
Remo Stars are top of the table with 39 points.
