End of an era for Mathias Josephine in Nasarawa

Josephine’s impending departure marks the end of a memorable chapter at Nasarawa Amazons, where she has served as a key player and captain. Known for her composure, vision, and leadership in midfield, she has consistently ranked among the top performers in the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL).

Though official confirmation from either club is still pending, reports indicate that Josephine has agreed terms with Bnot Netanya, with the move expected to be finalized in the coming days.

The transfer represents a significant step forward in her career, giving her a chance to test herself in European football and further develop her game on a new stage.

Josephine has been capped twice by the Nigeria women’s national team, but was left out of the squad for the upcoming 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).

Despite that setback, the midfielder remains one of Nigeria’s brightest prospects and is expected to play a pivotal role in Bnot Netanya’s plans going forward.
