The chairman of Nasarawa Amazons, Hajiya Husaina Suleiman, has expressed her delight over the team’s impressive 3-0 away win against Dannaz Ladies at the Legacy pitch in Surulere, Lagos.
In a post-match reaction with NAIRA SPORTS, Suleiman attributed the team’s success to divine intervention.
She said, “We give thanks to Almighty, this is the result we have been expecting and we got it, we will continue to get more wins.”

She also praised the team’s players, saying, “I am proud of the girls for making the team get the deserved win and they do that.”
Suleiman revealed that the team’s primary objective is to qualify for the Super 6, adding, “First, it is to qualify for the Super 6 because that is what teams are fighting for now and we have really worked to make it happen.”
Despite facing challenges in the first stanza, Suleiman expressed optimism about the team’s progress, saying, “During the first stanza, we didn’t really get what we wanted because we lost matches we were not supposed to lose, and every day is a progress.”
Nasarawa Amazons are currently third in group A with 18 points from nine games.
