Naija Ratels have secured the final coveted spot in the 2024/25 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership Super Six Playoffs following a hard-fought goalless draw against the previously unbeaten Bayelsa Queens on the final matchday of the regular season.
The crucial point, earned at their home ground on Wednesday, was all that the Ratels needed to book their place in the season-ending, title-deciding tournament.
Naija Ratels will now join defending champions Edo Queens, Remo Stars Ladies, Nasarawa Amazons, Bayelsa Queens, and Rivers Angels in the highly anticipated Super Six Playoffs, which are scheduled to take place in Ikenne, Ogun State, from May 8 to 17, 2025. This marks the second time Naija Ratels have reached the Playoffs since their debut in the top flight in 2022.
Meanwhile, FC Robo Queens suffered heartbreak despite securing a 2-1 victory over Delta Queens in Lagos. An own goal by Joy Falegan and a strike from Mariam Yahaya gave the home side the win, with Priscilla Omeje scoring a consolation goal for Delta Queens. However, the victory proved insufficient for Robo Queens, as they finished the regular season with 22 points, just one point adrift of Naija Ratels, who snatched the final qualification berth.

Heartland Queens secured a 2-1 home win over Nasarawa Amazons, with Faith Samson scoring a brace for the hosts and Kesiena Ojiyovwi netting a consolation for the Amazons.
Playoffs hosts Remo Stars Ladies delivered a resounding 5-0 thrashing of Dannaz Ladies in Ikenne, with braces from Kafayat Bashiru and Olamide Bolaji, and a goal from Opeyemi Sunday.
Adamawa Queens defeated Ibom Angels 3-1 in Numan, with goals from Onyinyechi Onah, Anastasia Terfa, and Blessing Sule. Abasiofon Uwah scored for Ibom Angels.
Rivers Angels overcame debutants Benue Queens 4-2 in Port Harcourt, with Chisom Nwachukwu scoring twice and further goals from Nana Yusuf and Aminat Folorunsho. Hellen Alex and Ranti Joshua scored for Benue Queens.
Edo Queens concluded their regular season with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Confluence Queens in Benin City, courtesy of goals from Precious Vincent and Emem Essien.
Rasheedat Salau’s first-half goal earned Ekiti Queens a 1-0 win over Abia Angels in Ibadan.
With the conclusion of the regular season, the stage is now set for the thrilling Super Six Playoffs in Ikenne, where the top six teams will battle it out for the coveted NWFL Premiership crown.
