Remo Stars coach Wemimo Matthew has taken to social media to express his gratitude for his recent awards.
She was honoured as the best coach of the first round of the Nigeria Women Premier League (NWFL) and the coach of February 2025 by the Unstoppable Sports Foundation.
Matthew attributed his success to divine intervention, stating, “God is always good. I like to use this moment to appreciate Almighty God once again for yet another award. All thanks and glory, be on to You, Lord.”

He also expressed his appreciation to the Unstoppable Sports Foundation, saying, “I also want to appreciate the unstoppable Sports Foundation for giving me awards as the best coach of the first round of Nigeria Women Premier League (NWFL) and the coach of the month of February 2025.”
Matthew acknowledged that the awards serve as a morale booster, encouraging him to work harder.
She noted, “These awards are a morale booster to me and a way of encouraging me to work harder.”
The coach recognized the impressive performance of his team, having garnered 19 points out of 21 in the first round of the league. She humbly attributed this achievement to God’s grace, saying, “Having 19 points out of 21 points in the first round of the league is by God’s grace.”
Matthew extended his gratitude to his players, assistant coaches, backroom staff, management, and fans, stating, “My appreciation also goes to my players, Asst. Coaches, backroom staff, management, and my fans. You all contributed to this success.”
She concluded by dedicating the awards to Jesus Christ and to all female football coaches in Nigeria, saying, “May God continue to uplift every one of you in Jesus’ name. I dedicate all the awards to Jesus Christ and to all the female football coaches in Nigeria. Cheers!!!”
