Reacting to the list on X, a user named Gbolahan expressed frustration, saying, “Irrespective of the new coach, it looks like our team always looks the same, because why are Iheanacho and Ahmed Musa on the provisional list? They probably won’t make the final list.”
Another user, Lawboy, questioned the selection of certain players, stating, “Aribo, Iheanacho, and Musa don’t have any business in the Super Eagles again.”

Olly, a Manchester United fan, suggested the inclusion of fresh faces, saying, “The new Super Eagles coach should go for Chido Obi and Nwaneri of Arsenal. They’re both good players… I don’t know why he’s not going for Curtis Jones of Liverpool.”
Another fan criticized Alex Iwobi’s call-up, writing, “I don’t get why we still invite Alex Iwobi when we have other good options in Europe.”
The Super Eagles squad will be trimmed ahead of the must-win matches later this month.
