Let’s Wrap Up the Game in Nigeria – Bankole Olowokere

Flamingoes head coach Bankole Olowokere has praised his team’s performance following their 3-1 victory over South Africa U-17 in Pretoria.

Goals from Chidi Harmony and Shukurat Moshood secured the win for Nigeria in the first leg of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup qualifiers.

Speaking after the match, Olowokere expressed his delight: “It was a good game and a strong fight. Travelling all the way from Nigeria to South Africa and securing the needed points is a big achievement.”

He also highlighted the importance of the result; “The margin of victory is encouraging, and it boosts our morale for the next stage. We now have the next 90 minutes at home to finish the job.”

The second leg will take place on March 15 at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne-Remo, Nigeria. The Flamingoes will aim to capitalize on their first-leg advantage and advance to the next round of the qualifiers.
