Kitara moves into the Uganda Premier League top four

The Royals from Hoima continue to elevate in standings having had a streak of dismissal performances at start of the season.

Kitara FC registered a 1-0 victory over URA FC Infront of the home crowd at Royals Park Stadium in Butema on Saturday.

The lone goal for Kitara came in the first half, Frank Zaga Tumwesigye header in the 36th minute winning it all for the hosts.

A fiercely contested affair, the Royals managed to shield the narrow advantage with no further altercation until the final whistle.

The victory was Kitara’s seventh and stretches their unbeaten run to ten straight games in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.

Kitara ascended to the fourth spot on the log, with 28 points, one ahead of the tax collectors of URA who dropped to fifth.

In the next outing, the Wassa Bbosa coached side travel away to Bul FC on Friday, March 7, 2025 whilst URA host UPDF FC under the floodlights on the same day.
