Kawempe keep pace with leaders after victory over Rines

Matchday fifteen of the Finance Trust Women Super League came to climax on Sunday, with three matches on the menu.

Kawempe Muslim on the road at Kabaka kyabaggu Stadium, thrashed hosts Rines SS WFC 3-1 in their own park pard.

Agness Nabukenya, Meble Adong, and Shakira Nyinagahirwa on target for Kawempe while Nakato Patricia grabbed the solitary goal for Rines.

Rines SS broke the deadlock in the 20th minute, Nakato Patricia converting from the spot to hand the hosts a bright start.

Five minutes before teams went to the locker room, Agness Nabukenya levelled the scoreline, also from 12 yards.

Adong put the valley warriors ahead after restart in the 49th minute before returning Shakira sealed the victory with 15 minutes left on the clock.

Kawempe Muslim solidified their second position on the log, six points adrift of leaders, Kampala Queens who are on 37.

Elsewhere, She Corporate suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Uganda Martyrs WFC, Brenda Munyana’s goal the difference at Kyabazinga Stadium.

She Maroons and Makerere University WFC shared spoils in a goalless draw witnessed at Luzira Prisons Ground.
