Ikwaput sends warning to Ethiopia with 4 goals in one match

Part of Crested Cranes summoned squad for the February gathering, the sniper from East Africa issued out a loud statement to next opponents during a league match on Friday.

From scoring a hatrick last weekend against East Bengal, Fazila Ikwaput once again was the ultimate hero as Gokulam Kerala defeated Sethu FC 4-1 at home.

The Ugandan International single-handedly scored all the four goals for the visitors, a sum of 7 goals in last two games on the bounce.

At halftime the malabarians had a 2-1 lead in the foreign territory courtesy of Ikwaput magic in the 10th and 20th minute.

She completed the hatrick (3rd this season) in the 60th minute before adding the fourth two minutes to the final mark. Phanjoubam Nirmala netted the lone goal for the hosts.

A haul on the day, the former Kampala Queens attacker takes her tally to 14 goals in just 6 games played so far in the Indian Women’s League.

Meanwhile in the battlefield, Ikwaput shared the center stage with national team-mates Aminah Nababi, and Hadijah Nandago who ended up on the losing side.
