Remo Stars Ladies climbed to the top of Group A in the Nigeria Women’s Premier League (NWFL) after a convincing 4-1 victory over Heartland Queens. Bolaji Olamide led the charge with a brace, while Kafayat Bashiru and Deborah Kehinde also found the net for the Ikenne-based side.
Olamide, who leads the league with five goals, attributed her impressive form to a change in her playing style.

“Converting me from a midfielder to striker has really helped me understand the best positions to take on the field,” Olamide told The Hope newspaper.
“I love my new role because I want my name to be synonymous with goal scoring in the elite women’s league.”
