NEC Coffee grounds, Bugolobi
For a second round in a row, the Royals will be playing away from the home in the Stanbic Uganda Cup.
Holders Kitara FC visit Kampala Regional side CATDA FC at NEC Coffee grounds, Bugolobi with a aim to advance to the round of 16 of the Stanbic Uganda.
To reach the round of 32, the Royals recorded an emphatic 4-0 victory over Young Simba in Bombo whilst the opponents overcame (0-3) Mawokota FC.
Midfielder Titus Ssematimba scored a brace with the other goals coming from George Ssenkaaba and winger Living Kabon at Bombo Military Barracks.
Ahead of the trip to Kampala, head coach Wasswa Bbosa re-emphasize how tricky a single knockout tie can be, calling out his lads to treat it as a final.
“This is a knock out competition that means we have to play well, score goals and win to make it further and this is our agenda today. We won’t take them lightly because they are quite an organized side but the boys know what is at stake and will approach this game with positive character,” Said Wasswa Bbosa
A shocking defeat to Uganda Premier League side, Express FC away in Yumbe on Wednesday, Kitara FC will want to avoid any potential upset at such an early stage.
The Royals welcome back Solomon Okwalinga in the match day squad as the duo Fred Amaku, and Titus Ssematimba who missed the last game against Soltilo Bright Stars in the league remain sidelined.
