The transfer talk of the Nigerian International to Saudi Arabia finally stalled down after pull out of the interested party, Al Nassr.
For around two days, speculations of Victor Boniface to the Middle East were on, with negotiations said to have started in German.
On Wednesday, it was confirmed that Al Nassr had decided to go for Aston Villa forward Jhon Durán instead of Boniface.
Speaking about the transfer saga, Simon Rolfes the Sporting Director at home for the Super Eagles star hinted on the players’ commitment at remain at the club.
“ There have been talks, but we are happy that he will be training with us today. I assume that he will stay. He feels comfortable here, his attitude towards the club is unchanged.”
Boniface, who missed the Champions League game against Sparta Prague on Wednesday will now rejoin his team-mates to focus on the remainder of the season.
