Four-star BuL make light work of hapless Lugazi

BuL FC in their second game with out suspended tactician Abbey Kikomeko put up a splendid performance, thrashing territorial neighbors Lugazi FC on Tuesday evening.

Brace hero Karim Ndugwa, Ibrahim Orit and Hillary Onek lifted the Eastern giants to a comprehensive 4-0 win at the refurbished FUFA Technical Center, Njeru.

BuL backed by the home crowd started on the front foot, dominating the proceedings in terms of possession and the levels of urgency overwhelming the opposition.

Karim Ndugwa opened the scoring in the 27th minute, tapping home from a pin point cross by Reagan Kalyowa inside the forbidden area, a move initiated by Kirya.

The Eastern giants continued to assert their dominance after the break, with the visitors’ backline leaking three more goals as a result of pressure from boys in yellow.

Ndugwa doubled the lead four minute into the final stanza, completing his brace before Ibrahim Orit made it 3-0 in the 61st minute with stunning thunderbolt at edge of the box.

BuL running riot against the leaders rounded off the rout through Hilary Onek, firing home in the 69th minute from a rebound after goalkeeper Juma Mutebi had failed to handle Kalyowa’s shot.

Unbeaten since the commencement of the second term, BuL tightened their grip in third position with 49 points, while Lugazi in scramble to stay in the top-flight division are on 31 from 26 matches.
