Four Nigerian officials appointed to handle Uganda WAFCON Qualifier against Ethiopia

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) appointed a quartet from the West African nation to manage the second leg of the 2026 WAFCON Qualifiers between Ethiopia and Uganda.

Leading the officiating crew is seasoned referee Patience Ndidi Madu, who will be at the center of action in Addis Ababa.

She will be assisted by Abibatu Iyaduni Yusuf ( 1st Assistant Referee) and Mfom Friday Akpan (2nd Assistant Referee) whilst Hannah Eligawu will take on the role of fourth official.

Deide Camil Zealand from South Africa has been designated as the referee assessor, with Christine Mukanboka from Rwanda serving as the match commissioner.

The decisive fixture is set to take place this Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at Abebe Bikila Stadium. Uganda holds a strong advantage having recorded a 2-0 win in the first leg in Kampala.
