Football fan rewards Samuel Ssenyonjo with half a million for the hatrick in Wakiso game

The Red Eagles forward stole the show in the final game of Matchday 18 in the Startimes Uganda Premier League, becoming the first ever player to net a hatrick at the newly re-developed Hamz Stadium.

Express FC were 4-1 winners over Wakiso Giants on Monday, Samuel Ssenyonjo with a treble and the other goal coming from Richard Basangwa.

After the showdown, a football euthasiat has come out and rewarded him for his individual brilliance on the night, 500,000 Uganda Shillings cash, fulfilling his initial vow for any Express player.

“After reviewing the UPL table over and over for the past two days.

As an Express FC Uganda well wisher, This is my pledge to the players season 2024/25

  • 500,000UGX for a the player who scores a hatrick.
  • 1,000,000UGX for a player hatrick if there is an element of a comeback.” Kazoora posted this on his socials in January.

The promise made by Kazoora Emmanuel drew mixed reactions online that day but now Ssenyonjo is the first beneficiary for his extraordinary efforts.

The three goals against his former paymasters, saw the Uganda Cranes striker move to 11 goals this season, 3 behind leading top-scorer, Allan Okello.
