Dede was a retired footballer who played as a goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, Delta Queens FC, Ibom Queens and Arna-Bjørnar.

Nigeria, a participant in the last World Cup, received a bye in the first round. However, they face a stern test in the second round against South Africa, who overcame Gabon in the previous stage.

The two-legged qualifier will determine which team advances to the next round of the competition. The dates and venues for the matches will be announced by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) in due course.

The Flamingos will be aiming to qualify for their fifth consecutive FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.
