The Ugandan International who spent months without being in action, roared back in a dramatic showdown in the Ethiopian Premier League.
Fahad Bayo was on target as struggling side Welwalo Adigrat played out a 1-1 all draw with table leaders, Ethiopian Insurance on Monday.
The 26-year-old scored from the spot in the 7th minute after he was brought down in the penalty box at Hawassa University Ground.
Ethiopian Insurance looking for a quick response, the contest came to level terms in the 23rd minute, with Kasim Rezak converting in his own net.
Unfortunately, goal-scorer Bayo was shown a red card in the second stanza, leaving the turf prematurely in the 69th minute.
The visitors couldn’t capitalize on the numerical advantage as Welwalo Adigrat held firm to salvage an important point.
Allan Kayiwa, player at Ethiopian Insurance, who netted his maiden goal before the March break was the other Ugandan involved in the bout.
