Seven time Uganda Premier League Champions, Express FC once again find themselves in spotlight after violent behavior exhibited by it’s fan in the dramatic 2-2 stalemate witnessed between the Red Eagles and Vipers SC few weeks ago in the City center.
The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has sanctioned Express FC for breaching Article 14 of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code during their StarTimes Uganda Premier League match against Vipers SC on 11th April 2025, at Hamz Stadium, Nakivubo.
“The FDP found that Express FC supporters threw bottles at match officials, constituting acts of hooliganism in violation of Article 14(11) of the FUFA Ethics and Disciplinary Code, and deemed this conduct a serious breach of the Code.” A statement from FUFA reads
“Express FC was handed a suspended two point and two goal deduction, to be imposed if the sanctioned conduct is repeated.
Additionally, Express FC have been fined UGX 1,000,000 payable within 14 days from the ruling. Express FC is also hereby warned regarding its future conduct.”
Express FC were hit with a fine of one million Uganda Shillings (UGX 1,000, 000), payable with in the fourteen days from the ruling and risk two point and two goal deduction if similar acts on match officials are replicated by it’s faithful.
