Edo Queens forward Emem Essien has expressed her delight in contributing to her team’s positive start in the ongoing NWFL Super Six playoffs, having scored three goals in their opening three matches.
Essien brace helped Edo Queens to defeat Naija Ratels on day three after losing their opening game to Remo Stars Ladies and sharing spoils with Rivers Angels.
Following Edo Queens’ victory, Essien stated, “I feel very happy for helping my team to grab the first victory. Yes I believe so. Thank you.”
Essien was also the league’s Most Valuable Player in the previous season, further emphasising her quality and influence within the NWFL.
