Denis Omedi opened his account in the Rwanda Premier League with two goals as APR came back from behind to defeat hosts Kiyovu Sports 2-1 on Saturday.
It was a nostalgic moment for the new signing, being the hero that secured all the 3 points for the army side on the road.
Kiyovu found back of the net first through Niyo David in the 14th minute before the visitors resurgence.
Fourteen minutes later, Omedi levelled the scoreline to make it 1-1 at Kigali Pele Stadium.
Heading into the break, once again his name appeared on the score board, completing a first half brace. The final stanza never produced any goals.
Meanwhile, also compatriot and winger Hakim Kiwanuka was in action for APR whilst midfielder Taddeo Lwanga was unused substitute on the night.
On mission to retain the league trophy, APR sit second on the table, two points behind leaders Rayon Sports (36 points) who have played a game less.
