The Ugandan International elevates from the MLS Next Pro to the second tier of soccer in the United States.
Oakland Roots SC have confirmed the signature of Ugandan Bobosi Byaruhanga ahead of the 2025 USL Championship season.
The 23-year-old joins his new home after a sojourn at MLS Next Pro Side, Austin FC, also situated with in the same country.
“Bobosi is a young player we are very excited to bring in to help solidify our midfield,” said Head Coach Gavin Glinton.
“To have the international experience and multiple league championships under his belt at such a young age has set him an incredible foundation into becoming a key player in our squad this season.” concluded Head Coach Gavin Clinton
The former Vipers SC player is seen as a valuable addition in middle of the park, with the club aiming to earn domestic success.
Bobosi, could make his debut on Saturday, March 8, 2025 when Oakland travel away to San Antonio FC in their opening game of the season.
