Edo Queens Football Club has declared Comfort Folorunsho absent without official leave (AWOL) after she suddenly absconded from the club’s camp in Benin City without permission.
According to the club, Folorunsho packed her belongings and left without informing the management, despite having a running contract with the team.

“The said player still has a running contract with Edo Queens FC, hence she has no right to leave without officially informing the club of her whereabouts,” the club stated.
Edo Queens FC has warned other clubs not to engage Folorunsho’s services without due clearance from the club. However, the management has expressed willingness to release her to any interested club in an orderly and professional manner.
“This notice is to warn clubs not to engage her services without due clearance from Edo Queens FC,” the club emphasised.
