The FUFA Disciplinary Panel (FDP) has come out and penalized two Eastern giants players following last week’s chaotic scenes witnessed during the Stanbic Uganda Cup Quarter-final clash with Kitara at Royals Park, Butema.
BuL FC towering defender Walter Ochora who stayed on the the turf despite pushing referee Henry Musisi to ground, has been hit with a 10-match suspension from all competitions dictated by FUFA and a fine of one million Uganda Shillings with immediate effect.
“The FUFA Disciplinary Panel has imposed a 10-match suspension from all FUFA-organised
competitions, UGX 1,000,000 fine on BUL FC player Walter Ochora for pushing referee Musisi Henry during the Stanbic Uganda Cup match between Kitara FC Vs BUL FC.
The sanctions take immediate effect” A statement on FUFA handles reads.
The sanctions didn’t leave out fellow team-mate Nicholas Mwere, red-carded on that day late in injury time though he will serve an eighth-match suspension in addition to paying a fine of one million Uganda Shillings.
“The FUFA Disciplinary Panel has imposed a 10-match suspension from All FUFA-organised competitions, UGX 1,000,000 fine on BUL FC player Mwere Nicholas for pushing referee Musisi Henry during the Stanbic Uganda Cup match between Kitara FC Vs BUL FC.
However, as credit for acceptance of the charge, apology and being remorseful, the FDP suspended two of the 10 matches meaning Mwere will serve an immediate 8-match suspension in addition to the suspension for the red card received in the match.” A statement from FUFA reads.
