Ahead of the 22nd National Sports festival in Ogun state, Bayelsa Table Tennis Association has unveiled a foreign coach and squad for the Gateway Games.
The team was unveiled during the inauguration of a world class ultra-modern table tennis facility, the “Coastal Fortress”.
The Coastal Fortress is a state-of-the-art facility built by Ama-Ebi Ebikpolade Stow, the chairman of the Bayelsa State Table Tennis Association to give table tennis players adequate preparation for tournaments.
Luciano Esposito from Italy as well as Bayelsa State Table Tennis Team to the National Sports Festival in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
Former African Junior Champion, Taiwo Mati, will be leading the team along side Olajide Omotayo, Samuel Boboye and Azeezah Solanke.
In the women’s category, Ayoola Kabirat, Iyanuoluwa Falana, Faith Tukuru and Rejoice Harold.
