Bayelsa Queens’ Vera Samuel sets sights on NWFL title

Bayelsa Queens star Vera Samuel has expressed her disappointment over her team’s draw against Ibom Angels but is now focused on helping her side secure three points in their next game.

Samuel revealed that the team’s target is to win the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) title and represent Nigeria at the international stage, specifically the CAF champions league.

Speaking on the team’s performance, Samuel said, “Honestly, I didn’t feel good about yesterday’s draw. We had the game at the tips of our fingers but lost many chances. However, that’s football, you lose some, draw some, and win some.”

Looking ahead to their next game, Samuel emphasized the importance of securing three points.

“Our plan is to win the next game and get three points. My contribution will be to help my team have a good game and secure those points,” she said.

With their sights set on the NWFL title and international glory, Bayelsa Queens will be looking to bounce back from their draw and make a strong push for the top spot.
