Forward Alpha Ssali finally earned his debut at NEC FC on match 17 of the Uganda Premier League, becoming his second team in the top-flight after Express.
The Proline Academy graduate was introduced in the second half when Mbalangu made a double substitution, Kasinde and goal-scorer Cromwell paving way for Alpha, and Ajo.
By then, the die-hards were in a 1-0 lead before Emmanuel Mugume levelled the scoreline late in injury time.
Alpha appearance in the cops stalemate meant that all the three new signings acquired by NEC during the January window have had a mark at their new home.
Missed second round opener against KCCA FC on revival of the league, Alpha will hope for more game time in the coming weeks.
The other debutants at NEC are Ibrahim Musa, and forward Ibrahim Kasinde who had their first caps in the 1-0 victory over KCCA FC at MTN Omondi Stadium.
